Fayetteville Criterium
The Arkansas Bicycle Club - Razorback Racing Team (ABC-RRT) was Fayetteville's first USCF racing team and preceeded the Boston Mountain Cyclists by several years.  The ABC-RRT was organized by Mark Widder, head mechanic at the Highroller Cyclery.  Mark also conceived and organized the first Fayetteville Spring Classic (originally known as the Fayetteville Criterium and now known as the "Joe Martin Stage Race").  The race was held on April 24, 1977 as the highlight of the first Fayetteville Bicycle Week (also organized by Mark).

I was still a Cat IV when I raced in the 1977 F'ville Criterium on my Raleigh Pro.  It wasn't my first crit, but the short, steep climbs and tight turns made it my most memorable!
